Roman Rudnytsky is an American concert pianist of Ukrainian background. A graduate of the Juilliard School in New York, he has been performing around the world for years and has now played in 100 countries. He has been soloist with many orchestras around the world, played in 35 countries through US Embassies as a “cultural ambassador”, and played recitals on about 70 cruises of P&O (UK) and Cunard ships. He was a prizewinner in ten international and national piano competitions.
He has made 13 tours in New Zealand since the mid-1980’s and has played in Raglan before. The tour this year consists of eleven recitals.
2022 concerts took place in Australia (22nd tour), the USA, and on five cruises. Other 2023 concerts will take place is Alaska (seventh tour), Chile (11th tour), Australia again, on a couple of cruises, and in the USA.
Roman Rudnytsky was also for many years a university professor of piano and music, mostly at Youngstown (Ohio) State University—Dana School of Music, where, since retirement from there, he has the title “Professor Emeritus”
