Filmmakers take centre stage at our Raglan Arts Film Festival Awards evening for a night of local storytelling and old-school cinema charm. Around 90 minutes of films will be screened, including all tamariki entries along with winners and highly commended films from each category. Audiences can expect a wide range of genres, from drama and documentary to romance, queer cinema, animation and thriller.
An old-time cinema experience complete with popcorn, hotdogs, home baking, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Bring cash as no EFTPOS will be available. Waikato filmmaker Matt Hicks will MC the evening and awards and cash prizes will be presented across the Tamariki, Rangatahi, Open Amateur and Open Professional categories, alongside trophies created by local artist Chris Meek.
